Hi there!
Well, I agree with the individual that replied previously to me with the possibility of one of the versions of Wellbutrin(Wellbutrin, Wellbutrin SR, Wellbutrin XL) being an option for you husband. It does definitely have a reputation (and the stats to back it, I think) of being more friendly to one's sex life. There are two other drugs that come to mind as well. One is Serzone. It has a reputation for causing less sexual dysfunction. Plus there is Remeron (I think that is the way it is spelled.) The Serzone, I think, has to be carefully monitored because of potential risks to the liver. The Remeron, I think tends to cause weight gain, and ummm.....what was the other side effect now.....ummm...I think maybe sedation. Anyway those are a couple of options to explore. F.Y.I. You responed to a post that I put up the other day. I too am taking Zoloft, as you know. I am very reluctant to give it up because it has been quite effective for me, but just has that sexual side effect drawback for me. So, perhaps your husband would benefit with staying on the Zoloft and adding the Wellbutrin. It did not do anything for my sexual dysfunction, but it has for a lot of other people. So, it may be very well worth the effort to bring the idea up with your husband's doctor. Then of course there is trying the BuSpar, Ginko Biloba, Amantadine, Yohimibe, etc. Good luck and let us know how things turned out.
