Hey worrywort
You aren't alone and you WILL get better. It may not happen over night but it will happen. As far as the meds are concerned, lots of people have to try different ones before they find which one is right for them. I took prozac and was nauseaous all the time so I couldn't eat. I've had trouble sleeping before too, though not while on the prozac. Do you think it's the medicine that's causing it? It may be that you are apprehensive about the medicine as well as stressed in general. This can cause trouble sleeping. I used to ,,and actually have started up again,,,stay up all night and then fall asleep in the wee hours of the morning. My doc said that perhaps I was so stressed out that I was subconciously choosing to stay awake will things were quiet and everyone else was asleep because is was one of the only times I could find peace. I know it's frustrating and how alone you can feel when everyone, esp your significant other,, is asleep and you aren't. Just go with it if possible. If you find you can't sleep, don't lay awake in bed...chances are you will get more frustrated. Get up and do something. Watch a movie or read, anything that holds your attention. I fought the not being able to sleep for a while and then resigned myself to the fact that my body was just trying to cope with all the stress I was under. Once your stress goes away it should be easier to sleep and with that the stigma surrounding sleeping will pass. By the way Prozac is a stimulant so you should take it in the morning instead of at night. Good luck and remember things will get better! Take comfort in your husband,, his support could do wonders for you now! If you have anymore questions or concerns just post again! Good luck!!
