Is depression covered by FMLA?

If your employer has 50 or more employees there's a chance. Under 50 they aren't required to cover FMLA.

I found info doing a search, but there is a ton of stuff to wade through. Look for a .gov link when you do a search. The easier thing to do would be either ask your doctor, or call your HR department.

My HR has supplied me with the paperwork for FMLA due to my depression and anxiety.

I've been taking some time off over the last week, as some anxiety began raising since I started Zoloft and got off Prozac.

I go back in tomorrow for a 1 week follow up and HR has informed me they want my doctor to return the FMLA forms for my leave and any additionall days I'd maybe need.
