| Re: Effexor Withdrawls, how to cope?
Hi Heidi,
There was a time when I went through EXTREME Effexor withdrawal. It was terrible. I had to be admitted to the ER twice. I kept throwing up, had paranoia, dry heaves, contant shaking, nightmares, shaking, EXTREME irritability, and suicidal thoughts. It was terrible. Things only got worse. The only thing I could do was go back on Effexor until I could come up with a long term plan about meds that would work for me. I wasn't until I attempted suicide and attmited into the hospital that I got things on track. I don't want things to get the bad for you. Because it is possible to get through this. My recommendation is to go back on Effexor and talk to your doctor about other solutions that will lessen withdrawal. They told me withdrawal would like 2-4 weeks. Before I knew it 2 months went by and there was no improvement. However, it is different for everyone. Please keep in touch. I really want to know how you are doing and I want to help you get through this. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Take Care,
-D
