nothing's changed

I've been on Fluoxetine (40mg per day) for over a year now and nothing's changed. Why? What's wrong with me? I still feel so low and down all the time. When do I start feeling better?

Re: nothing's changed

It could be your on the wrong med. Most people go through a number of antidepressants before finding one that works. I say go talk to your doc

Maybe counseling will help you feel better.

Talk to your doctor. Time for a new path.

Re: nothing's changed

I'd suggest finding a doctor who takes an aggressive approach. I think a good psychiatrist is the best choice. They have a well rounded knowledge of depression. There are many effective treatments. I think combining as many as possible gives the best chance for significant improvement.
