Here's a new psychiatric disorder that others may have experienced. It's called Vacationing Doctor Syndrome. It's a seasonal disorder, usually striking in the dark days of winter.
Seriously folks, it's been reported in the news that this year in particular, weather patterns in the eastern part of North America have led to a dramatic reduction in sunlight. About 34% less sun than average. And predictably, there is a correlation in soaring rates of depression.
In "light" of the fact that many depressed people are left doctor-less during the upcoming holiday season, I wonder if anybody has one of those light screens, and if so, is it used daily? Is it helpful?
