I am so proud with myself that I just have to share with others.
I have been getting my sleep pattarn under control day by day. Its been a week since I have stayed up all night. It took me just being more aware of my sleeping habits. Thursday night, I was invited out after playing pool (around midnight) but instead chose the best thing for me and went home and slept. This past week I haven't been over sleeping either. I have under control to the point where I go to bed between 10pm-12am and wake up between 7-9am. That has been the biggest thing effecting my depression.
Also, I am getting my health under control. The past year I have eaten like a typical college student. And prior to that, my food habits haven't always been great to begin with. Yesterday I went grocery shopping yesterday and surpassed all the junk food aisle. I have decieded to in corporate more vegetables and fruits in my diet. And cut back on the caffeine-which will be the hardest seeing as I am a coca cola addict. I also and cutting back on my sugar intake. I bought 1 bottle of diet dr.pepper that should last me quite awhile.
Also I am going to start exercising more. Yesterday I unintentionally exercised. Ended up running out of gas and having to walk to the gas station, but I realized how much I missed exercise and how much I feel better when I do. So I will start walking a mile or two everyday and starting yoga.
I feel so great right now, I don't even know what exactly started a change in me. Its odd, but I am happy to be regaining control.
