Difference between SSRI and SNRI
Can someone explain the difference between the SSRI antidepressants and the SNRI? I've read the medical explanation, but I was wondering if anyone can give it to me in plain english-so to speak. If they are both antidepressants, how is it decided which one is needed? Thanks for any help.

to my limited knowledge they effect different chemicals in the brain

SNRI efffects norepinephrine and SSRI just serotonin...I believe. Cymbalta and effexor and wellbutrin are th SNRIs.
