St johns Wort

I posted this on the alternative medicine board but figured it would be relevant here also:

OK, heres my deal. I have been having some trouble sleeping lately and think I might be mildy depressed(missing home and family lately, anxiety about not sleeping) and thought I would give St Johns Wort a try. Well, Ive been taking it for two weeks and didnt really notice anything and thought I might want to try 5-htp instead. Well I didnt take any SJW and yesterday afternoon I damn near had what I think is a panic attack. Never had one before but I'm pretty sure thats what it was. I just felt really anxious all of a sudden and HAD to get up and walk around. I went outside and walked around and took some deep breaths and it helped some, but I still felt antsy and anxious all night. This morning was the same way, I just feel anxious and on edge. Only thing I can think of was quitting the SJW so sudden? Never had this happen before? Has anybody else? Should I go back on the SJW?
