Caused by depression?
Hi.

I was wondering if anyone knew if loss of appetite can be caused by depression? I have been really down lately (just graduated from college, no job, new job doesnt start till Jan 20th). I went through a really bad bout of having heartburn for a week straight, im still not sure why. But that REAALY got me down. I got upset and lost the desire to eat and feel hungry in the middle of it. Now that is completely gone, but i still have no desire to eat. It happened really suddenly too, in a matter of two days or so. Help !

Loss of appetite can be an indicator of depression. You should go see a doctor to confirm or deny depression

Yeah. Stress, anxiety and depression could all curb your appetite.

It could also be a pysical problem, you should probably see your MD if it continues much longer.
