Post Lexapro and Stomach (Gas)

Hi there, I was taken of Zoloft (150mg) 12 days ago and was put on Lexapro at that time.

I was nauseated the first week and also had brain zaps from Zoloft withdrawals, but now I am having so much gas and bloating. (I also take Ambien CR, 12.5mg, to assist with sleeping)

Has anyone experienced the excess gas and bloating with Lexapro?

Thanks,
Z

Re: Lexapro and Stomach (Gas)

I have major gas with Lexapro. I just quit Prozac and started Lexapro again. All I do is fart all day long - and the flatulence is FOUL. It makes me angry because the Lexapro really helps me.

Re: Lexapro and Stomach (Gas)

I can honestly deal with the gas and bloating with lexapro, not the worst side effect imho (then again, my gas was pretty foul BEFORE I went on lexapro)

Well, if it doesn't work, then maybe you should try something else. I am about to give up on Lexapro and try something else. I cannot handle this gas. It's disgusting.
