Ever since quiting my job I have a feeling I have lost control of my life. I have no discipline, feel tired all the time, and spend way too much time online. I can only describe myself as an anxious wreck. I sometimes consider joining the army just to give me some discipline and so that people will respect me. I am at a loss and just don't know what to do with my life.
Did you quit for health reasons? If so, can you work somewhere a few hours a week to keep busy?
Sorry you're feeling so icky.

Therag,
Check into another job. See if you can go back to the old one until you find another job.
I hope something works out for you! Be positive
Therag, feeling like you have control over your life is the first step to mental health. Where can you start to get control over your life? You can start with something small and move on from there.
Hi Therag. You shouldn't need anyone to respect you. Respecting yourself should suffice to bring you happiness. Give yourself praise with things that you do, and be sure to start small or else you'll get caught up feeling like everything you do isn't good enough. Also, give yourself space to be anxious or to grieve about the misfortunes in your life. When you've let these feelings out, then you can carry on with baby steps to gain control little by little.
You can do it!!! You're stronger than you give yourself credit.
