weaning off effexor

I'm trying to wean off effexor at 37.5mg. I am taking it every other day. Is that a good idea or not? Should I just quit it since it's the lowest dose and it's capsules?

Re: weaning off effexor

Skipping days is not a good thing it puts your body into mini withdrawls. I am not sure what stopping at that dose would do. I do know some people crack open the capsule and slowly taper by counting and subtracting beads. The big thing with effexor is the slower the better, its halflife is really messed up and tends to stay in your body for a longer than usual time

take care
