I want to stop CREATING problems where problems don't exist.
I want to be able to L E T G O of more things.
I want to WANT to do things.
I want to WANT to have sex.
I want to stop getting stressed over things that should be fun.
I want to be less controlling.
I want to go to bed at a good time and get up easier.
I want to eat less.
I want to drink less (alcohol).
I want to drink less (coffee).

Re: What I want (to change)... Can you relate? Is it possible?
I think when you start to see what you want to change it is becomes even more possible to do just that. It gives you direction and a path to go to. It is harder when everything just seems like a blur with no idea at all. So keep figuring out the what and then go from there.

It definitely is possible to change--one thing at a time. Since you already have awareness, that's the first step.....just be easy on yourself, you're only human!! Change is extremely difficult for me but perserverence pays off! Good luck to you!

Its great you can make alist of the things YOU want!
It shows your constructively looking at things and pinning down areas.

The clutter is from putting things off so I guess I feel like when *I* feel better I'll be able to de-clutter. Also, I find that I sometimes accumulate things to make myself feel better.
I remember once years ago feeling very down about my weight and not being able to find clothes so I kept shopping for socks. I had three drawers full of sox...
Re: What I want (to change)... Can you relate? Is it possible?
I go overboard sometimes with one particular item................maybe we know we are able to at least get one thing right! Everythnig else becomes less significant. I was once told depression usually stems from problems with either,
relationships
money
work
It took years for the penny to drop that it could also mean (lack of) work being the problem!
Re: What I want (to change)... Can you relate? Is it possible?
My therapist said that "cleaning a closet" is one of the most amazing chores to do... you are organizing, de-cluttering etc. Your space is a reflection of you. I understand wanting to feel better before being able to organize your clutter, but it can also work in reverse- de-cluttering can clear your mind.
Re: What I want (to change)... Can you relate? Is it possible?
If you want all these things posted by the OP, does that mean you have depression? I'm just asking because I'm not sure if I do or not and I can relate to each thing OP wants, except coffee

I hear you, sadwifeandmom. There were three things (I think) that I can't relate to so I removed them from the quote. About drinking less alcohol I can't say I want because I don't drink much, but:
I want to STOP WANTING to take Ativan, Codeine and/or muscle relaxants (sometimes all three at the same time) just so I don't have to feel anything, or so I don't care about how I feel.
I had to edit b/c I realized there were a couple others I should have taken out. I don't eat very much either.
