Hi, I am new to posting on the depression boards. I have been to therapy before (for a year during my senior year of hs). I am now going into my sophmore year of college. I initially went because of bulimia, and was diagnosed with that, but I'm not sure if I was ever diagnosed with depression. My therapists that I saw had mentioned taking an antidepressant, but the matter wasn't really pursued. I am aware that certain eating behaviors bring on strong bouts of depression, but I have gone through times of eating/exercising in a healthy manner (2 months probably the longest with no real major ed symptoms). But I am always aware that something is just not right even during those times. It's often the depression that I feel when the rest of my behaviors are healthy that triggers relapses into my disordered eating. I'm wondering who I should go to in order to talk more about medication. I just started seeing someone who is a registered dietician with counseling background, but I don't think that's who would need to prescribe me meds.

Any advice? What should I do?

is there any type of place that i can send away for samples of meds?
