I took Remeron. I don't think I even tapered it when I quit it, just quit taking it cold turkey (though my doc had started me on another med at the time, Paxil maybe). I didn't have any side effects from quitting Remeron except desirable ones--I stopped feeling so lazy and zombie-like during the day and quit wanting to eat all the food in the house (and hence lost weight) since Remeron gave me an appetite like nothing else.
