Wink Depression for Dummies?

To help me get out of my rut and total lack of interest in everything in life my therapist suggested I go look at "For Dummies" (or similar books), pick out something that I know nothing about, and buy the book. I went book shopping last night and ended up with three of them. Hopefully these books will help me find a new interest in something where I never would have though to look.

Sounds like a great idea to me. Let us know if you find a new interest! Of course, my curiosity is killing me to know which 3 you bought...

Re: Depression for Dummies?

Wow, this is the coolest idea! I'm going to give it a go. I love learning and used to take classes for fun (yeah, I'm a nerd and proud of it!) but cognitive difficulties took over and now I can barely read a newspaper article straight through.
But I just bought Excel for Dummies because I figure it's a skill I'll probably need to get back into the workforce, and while I was looking for it I saw so many Dummies books for things I would love to know about.
Thanks MarieBB, this might be just what I need to break through my cfs/fibro funk!

Re: Depression for Dummies?

I thought it was a silly idea at first, but when I went to the book store I had a hard time chosing! I opted: Troubleshooting your home computer, yoga, and world religions. If I find myself totally bored with them its not too bad because I've only made a small invesment, and I can go get something else.
