Re: Has Anyone Taken Pain Med & Come Out Of Depression?
Hi Salty,
Unfortunately, pain pills make many of us feel wonderful. Too bad anti-depressants don't have the same affect. But of course, we
can't take pain meds for any extended period of time because of
how addictive they are and everyone builds a tolerance to them
and before you know it, need to take more and more to "feel good".
Next thing you know, they are ruling your life and ruining your life.
Pop over to the addiction and recovery board and you will see
just how bad things become when one takes pain meds for anything
other than real pain.

Salty,
You are assuming I have not used Tramadol...
If it's a painkiller, I have probably used it or a close version. I became addicted to pain killers after a surgery I had a few yrs ago. Anyway, the biggest depression I ever faced was running out of them and going cold turkey.
I'm just telling it like it is.
Speaking from experience, I'd suggest you try and find something else to
help your depression.
Re: Has Anyone Taken Pain Med & Come Out Of Depression?
Pain medication works great as an anti-depressant.....for awhile, and then when your brain gets used to it, and like granny said, you need more and more just to get that feeling and then they don't help at all. Remember, everything comes with price and what goes up, like your mood on pain pills, has to come down and it's not easy like AD. You will crash hard. Take them at your own risk.
Re: Has Anyone Taken Pain Med & Come Out Of Depression?
I have taken Ultram for anxiety and depression, not just me. Google "Tramadol for severe depression" Tramadol has been given to people that don't respond good to antidepressant. psychiatrist has wrote prescriptions for this pain medication time and time again...That don't matter, Tramadol works great for depression and anxiety. But anything that really works....you are not suppose to take. check this out...any other country Tramadol is giving for anxiety/depression.
I asked a doctor about this... she said other countries dont study and do the research USA does. I said O REALLY... other countries have the fastest cars, the best optics, the best of educations. BUT there Doctors are dumb...is that what you are saying?? she couldn't say...
