Hi. I take zoloft and lamictal (lamotrigine) for depression. Both very low dose and they have been very effective. But over the last couple of weeks I have developed a slight hand tremor in my dominate hand and occasionally in my other hand. It is most obvious when I'm trying to do fine work (cutting material, threading, playing lego with the kids etc).
Could this be related to the medication (I cant find any information) or could it just be a manifestation of the depression (which by the way is under control at the moment...)

How long have you been on your meds? I had the same problem with my dominant hand shortly after starting Paroxitine for the second time. It went away after about a week.

It is highly likely that it is caused by the medicines you are on in particular lamotrigine...says the most common side effect of this drug is cognitive and hand tremors would certainly fit into that catagory.

Thank you both. It's actually reassuring to now that its probably the meds and not my mind! (I recently had a persistent cough that my GP tried to tell me was in my head...it was asthma!)
I've been taking zoloft for about 13months with one break in which I lasted less than three weeks, made me realise just how wonderful it was for me at this stage of my life. I've been taking lam. for about 2-3 months.
