I've been on Fluoxetine for several years and it's worked well. I get aggitated sometimes, but usually only when I've missed a dose. I would have him mention that to his doctor. They might need to adjust his dose or try another depression medication. You didn't mention how long he's been on it, but if he just started, it does take a while for your body to adjust.
**Also be sure he's not taking Fluoxetine and St. John's Wort together. That's a big no-no since it can make the side effects of Fluoxetine much worse.
