Is there any free health clinics in your area? If not maybe she could walk into an ER I don't think they can refuse her service based on no insurance. Hope this helps.

Yeah, a hospital emergency room should not refuse anybody treatment. A not for profit hospital may be the best bet......Hospital billing in such situations may be quite flexible. Good luck.

Try behavioral health services, or a state-run clinic. They're almost free. You might have to search for one is you don't at least live in a medium-sized city. Orlando should have a state clinic.

Re: Need help, but have no health insurance.

I agree with the previous reply. Start looking at the county and/or state resources. There should be some kind of government-run clinic that will offer help and meds for little to no cost. I was recently in a situation where I was unemployed and had no insurance, and suffering from extreme anxiety/panic, depression, etc. The county I moved to in the Atlanta metro area offers medical services through their county health clinics, for all areas, including mental health. Their costs are highly pro-rated, based on your qualifications. Those with no insurance typically qualify, and pay little to no cost for appointments and medications. (Example: my initial evaluation cost $5, total.) Orlando should have something comparable. Start searching your local government health department resources for information. If you don't find it through the county, go to state sources. Good luck!
