Holidays are for the kids, right?
So...we try to make them happy and
want them to be happy like in all
the movies about Christmas.
For the adults, it can be a month long
fight to the finish (like their trying
to finish us off). So you have to
protect yourself somewhat during this
mini-battle to please everyone.
So, what I suggest is try to plan each
day..start by giving yourself (alone if
possible) one hour in the morning (even
if you have to get up one hour earlier
than everyone else). Use this time to
sort out yourself and your plans and
activities for that day. If something
is coming up for later in the week, try
and include some of the work or planning
for it also. The point is...don't let
events and activities or chores get ahead
of you and swamp you. Plan them out, enlist
help where you can and put off some things
if possible untill after the holidays.
As in the previous post, give yourself at
least one day and night a week off. If you
have to enlist or pay for help do it if you
can. Talk to your friends and sometimes two
or more people can do something or solve a
problem much easier than one can. If your
married...get that spouse or partner involved
and make the load as equal as you can.
Good luck....Ho Ho Ho...
