I have just started taking Zyprexa as of Tuesday night, so obviously I have a ways to go. According to what I have read, I may get results in as little as a week or two. I did ask this question on the other board, but I want to know if anyone else is or has taken this drug? Did this drug make you feel tired and draggy? I know some side effects go away after a few days, so I will gladly wait and hope this drug can help me. Thanks to all. K.Bailey

name a medication and i have been on it. Zyprexa, i was on for two months, but i needed something to help me sleep because i am an insomniac. So i had to switch another medication, called seroquel.
My brother who is 8yrs. Old is on zyprexa, both of us did well on it.

Teressa, Thanks for your post. But did the Zyprexa help your depression, that is if you were depressed? Then what did you take it for? It does help me sleep but I am starting to get more used to it. I am taking Clonazepam too for anxiety. It definitely helps the anxiety. I just hope the Zyprexa will help in my depression. I have been depressed off and on for about 18 yrs. Only Zoloft worked at first for only about five years.Later it did nothing even after having it increased. I too have tried over a dozen anti-depressants. I have been using Zyprexa for the last 12 months. I have found it to be very good for treating anxiety/panic and associated depression. I have a disorder where I feel like I am in another world (visual symptoms as well).. My depression was only a minor problem for me. I took an anti depressant (Nardil) and nothing happened.. but about a month to six weeks after starting Zyprexa (while still taking Nardil), I began to improve. The imrpovement has been very good and I have had few side effects.. weight gain being the most noteable.. Anyway hope this helps..
