Today is the first day I have felt good in weeks

I want to knock on wood but today is the first day I awoke to no rotten gloomy feelings. I couldn't beleive it. Maybe these meds are finally kicking in. I thought at first it would only last a hour or so but hey, The whole day has been depression free so far and it's 2:30PM central time. I feel great and actually got alot of stuff done today. It's amazing how much you can do when you feel good. I even have pain from my pancreatitis and it still didn't stop me from having a good day. I hope like heck tomorrow is the same as today. Wouldn't that be great two days in a row where you feel no depression. I hope it turns out that way. I must think positive and I also have the lord to thank cause I have been doing an awful lot of praying. I have to give him some credit after all it could have been all of his doings you know. Maybe the meds didn't do it all by them selves. I don't think they did do you? I sure wish everybody else could experience a good day like I'm having. What a releif you guys. I'll talk to you soon to let you all know how long it last. Wish me luck. Bye

Hi Kyle..

I hope like heck today is the same as yesterday was for you too..

My day went quite well yesterday too, so I can sure relate. You are so right about how it works when that happens..

How are you feeling, or is it too early to tell.

Re: Today is the first day I have felt good in weeks

I still feel pretty good today guys. It is snowing like crazy and my plans for the day got changed but I still am feeling quite well. I'm afraid I'm stuck in the house for the day but I'm not going to let that get me down. It felt real good yesterday not being depressed or worrying about everything. I sure hope it stays this way. I am going to continue to pray to the lord and take my meds and I think things are going to be OK after all. Things got pretty bad there for awhile. I was getting pretty desperate. I hope somebody else can experience this freedom soon. It feels good to be normal again. Bye all.

Re: Today is the first day I have felt good in weeks

What meds are kicking in Kyle and is this the time that they should be becoming more active? You know the 4-6 initial cycle?

Just curious, cuz the good feelings you are having even in spite of the day's activities so far, are quite a revelation.

Glad to hear about this.

Cheers

Re: Today is the first day I have felt good in weeks

I have been on Remeron since September, but at a low dose until here just recently my doc uped it to 30mg. a day. I also just started xanax about four weeks ago roughly. I take 2mg a day of xanax. I think it was the combination of meds and prayer that has brought on the releif. I'm still knocking on wood thou. I don't trust it for one minute. I'm so afraid those doom and gloom feelings are going to come back. I pray to the lord they don't cause I'm telling you to me they are horrible, almost demonic. I think the xanax has done more than anything has to tell you the truth. Heck I don't know what did it for sure. I don't care as long as it stays away from me. This is a Revelation Jolly Roger, a Revalation indead. Praise the lord. I hope everyone can experience it soon in there lives, especially the ones who have been fighting this for alot longer than I have. It all started with me about 3 or 4 years ago when my health started to fail me. And beleive me when my health started to go it went. I'm 36 years old and disabled. I use to work in agriculture 10 to 16 hours a day during the spring and fall. Now I'm lucky if I get to go outside. I have some good days where I get around like nothing is wrong with me but most days are not like that. Disease and sickness is a terrible thing and people shouldn't take there health for granted. Because like me someday it can be gone. Sure I thought one day that it could never be me and bam look at me now. It can be you real easy and quick. Well take care of yourself and write soon.

I certainly agree about taking health for granted espcially Kyle.

Yet we sure do tend to, until we can't anymore.

I hope today is a continuation of all the good feelings you've been experiencing.

My Best to ya

Re: Today is the first day I have felt good in weeks

Good evening Kyle,

So glad to hear that you are feeling brighter today. I had a terrible day yesterday, Mom phoned the hospital about my appointment with a shrink, but they had ost the referral letter from my doc. NHS in the UK is getting worse. Anyway after quite a few calls they are getting me an appointment for next week, so hopefully things will get a bit better. Iam not on anti-dep. So just trying to cope on my own, with all of you lovely people.
Feel average today, so that's a start.
Take good care of yourself.

Jade

Re: Today is the first day I have felt good in weeks

Sorry to hear about your appt. with the doc. I hope you get to see one soon and get some meds. I think the meds are finally doing me some good. By the way Jade what does NHS stand for. I've heard you say that statement before and I don't know what it means. I still feel pretty good today but not as good as the last two days. I can kind of sense the depression creeping back in on me but I'm putting up a pretty good fight keeping it away. I'm still alot better than I was. I hope you get some meds soon, they really do help alot. Take care my friend Jade.

Re: Today is the first day I have felt good in weeks

NHS stands for National Health Service, it just means that we don't have to get medical insurance like America has to , so all treatment, operations are free. We don't have to pay into an insurance. But it means that waiting lists are long. I have had 2 operations in the last year, plus a stay in hospital after having my son. Plus hubby also had had 2 operations, so if we had private health insurance the permiums would be through the roof.
Sorry about that Kyle I wrote a book then didn't I!?!??!

Hope you are still bright today. I am trying to get my son to bed, but he keeps breaking out. It's so easy when they are young and can't climb out of their cot.

Take care, Jade
