switching from Effexor to Celexa
I have been on 37.5mg/day of Effexor for the past few years and am now on day 2 of Celexa 20mg/day. My pharmacist said that I can go from one to the other with no problems. Is this true?

Also, is Celexa easier to go off of than the Effexor?

When I was hospitalized I was on Celexa. They switched me to Effexor while I was there and I had side effects so I stopped and went back on my Celexa. When I was released, I told my psych what they put me on while I was in there and she laughed because I physically cant even get off of ssri's and told me that Effexor was one of the hardest medication to wean off of! Good luck!

I hope so too! If you can switch off of Effexor with no problems than I don't think you should have problems weening off the Celexa if you ever decide to!

week one update:
So far so good. I had a couple days of anxiousness but (THANKFULLY) no brain zaps!!! I must say that taking Benadryl really helped calm me down.
