Exclamation Anyone taking Viibryd?

Hi all. After being on many AD's that have either pooped out or made me worse my GP put me on Viibryd.

For those of you that either are taking it or have any one lost weight on it? I read allot of review and "SHOULD" not of that says some peple gain on it, but some loose, I KNOW everyone is different.

But I am only 5'2 and can't afford to gain..............And yes, I exercise, drink plenty of water and try my darnedest to watch what I eat......

Please advise on ANY of your experience with this............Zoloft made me worse and my face puffed up, not good at all...............lexapro worked great, but gave out after some years.........

Please any advise either good or negative is worth hearing........and thank you for listening.............

Re: Anyone taking Viibryd?

Hello himmylover. I haven't taken Viibryd but did your GP or pharmacist give you any answer as to how common it was for people to gain/lose weight with Viibryd? I'm sorry I don't have any personal experience with Viibryd.

How long has it been since you last took lexapro? If you didn't have any weight gain with it and if it has been a while since you last used it, it may be worth it to try it again if the Viibryd doesn't work out for you.

Re: Anyone taking Viibryd?

Hello!

And thank you for the response. I have not taken Lexapro for about two weeks now.......... And just read the pamphlet on Viibryd and it does not say anything about weight gain/loss. So I am hoping I get neither.

Your right, I will watch my weight and if this does not work, I will either go back on Lexapro, maybe at a higher does..........errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, or my doctor also suggested Cymbalta if this does not work...............thank god he tries......I am very lucky there.

He knows I am going trough a very ruff time in my life right now dealing with my mothers health, I love her dearly, the loss of my father in law a few weeks ago to cancer, and not working is tearing me up inside and missing my dad whom was my best friend to a major stroke @ 67 years old, HOWEVER With everyone on here and ME making changes of the way I think, I will survive........lol...........just have to be strong, but unfortunately that is one of my most weakness.............

But with the help of everyone here, and strong husband I know people care..........and I thank Each and EVERYONE OF YOU FOR listening. My mom used to say "It does not cost anything to listen OR SMILE"...........and you know what? SHE IS RIGHT............

Thank you all, and say a prayer and yes thank you God for watching over me too..........

I LOVE THIS BOARD and will help others as they have helped me..........

Re: Anyone taking Viibryd?

I took it for 2 months, 20mg a day. Gained 20 pounds. I felt like I wanted to eat the furniture if nothing else was available. Went down to 10mg and then the drug did not help me at all. I am off of it now. I must try something else if there is something else. I have tried many, many.
