Ok so i posted before i was able to get a prescription for Wellbutrin again. yay. So i am not needing 10 hours of sleep anymore, only 6-7. I am not exhausted all the time everyday. I have a little bit more motivation. Best of all i am not liking cigarettes now, just 2 or 3 a day i crave ( wellbutrin is good to stop smoking ) probly the next week or two i wont want any cigarettes. I know this is just the beginning and within the nest month or 2 i will be much more positive happy and motivated. I'm a little irritable and impatient but i remember feeling that side effect before and it went away fairy quickly.
But my problem is now my stomach issues are so much worse. i have delayed digestion and horrible constipation. The wellbutrin is making it so much worse. I can only eat a meal like every other day, and i still feel full all day the next day. It's pretty tough trying to go to work like this when no one around me can even imagine what i am feeling, it feels like my belly is full of cement and its just 2 scrambled eggs that i ate the morning before and i still feel completly uncomfortabley full over 24 hours later. It's much worse with the Wellbutrin and from what i am reading this is a common side effect that does not go away, unlike the other side effects that subsude after you adjust to it. This side effect might not be so bad for a normal person but for me who is already constipated with weak sluggish digestion it is awful.
Where did you read that constipation is a permanent side-effect of Wellbutrin? I've always thought people can respond differently to a particular med.
I think not being able to eat an adequate amount of calories and nutrients is a serious problem, not just physically but mentally also. Unless you're able to find a way to relieve the constipation and start eating more food, it seems like your only option would be to stop taking the Wellbutrin. Do you think taking a laxative or eating food that's high in fiber would help any?

I read in a lot of places that the constipation does not go away. I get a lot of fiber from eating ground flaxseed it is the only thing that helps me. I have taken laxative a few times but i do not want to get dependent on them and they make me have a lot of cramps so i prefer to aviod them, when i feel really bad i do take them. Id be constipated without the welbutrin anyway but i feel so much better now, i am not smoking, i am so much less anxious, im not exhausted, and i dont need 10 hours of sleep anymore. i wish there was another med like wellbutrin or i wish it didnt make my constipation so much worse,
