Motivation to move

Hi. I'm new here. Just registered today. I have a problem and I'm hoping for some suggestions and encouragement.

I have been unable to pay my mortgage since becoming disabled and losing my job. I will lose my house to foreclosure early next year. I have somewhere to go at least temporarily when I am put out. My problem is that I have a house FULL of stuff that I need to sort through, pack, and mostly get rid of, etc. It's very overwhelming. I can barely get out of bed every day. How am I supposed to make this happen? I have no family near me and just a few friends that I don't want to burden.

How do you motivate yourself to face life's challenges? Any magical solutions or words of wisdom? Any advice will be very welcomed. Thank you.

Re: Motivation to move

Hello littlestar76.

I think sometimes when we're depressed we feel like we're a bigger burden to others than we really are. Are your friends aware of your foreclosure situation? If not, I suggest telling them you're going through a difficult time and ask them if they could help you out with going through your stuff.

I don't have any magical solutions to life's problems. However, what works for me is to remind myself that depressive feelings aren't permanent. Things change, and sometimes they change for the better.
