Cool Re: blood sugar

Since you've been diagnosed and are now taking oral medication for your diabetes, you should also be monitoring and managing your diet. Did you get a referral to a nutritionist? Do you have a monitor? If your monitoring shows that you are not responding to the meds, (lower numbers) than you need to either up the meds, use a combination of meds, get better control of your diet and or.. possibly move on to insulin. It takes a whole combination of efforts to get it under control. Read everything you can on diabetes and ask your doctor for referral to diabetes support groups in your area and the nutritionist. It is alot to take in at first, but you can manage this. (If you want to! ) Good luck.
