| anyone on amaryl have high triglycerides/take vytorin?
This question is for my dad. He is a diabetic and takes amaryl for his sugar, which works well for him. But his triglycerides are extremely high (in the 400's) and his doctor won't put him on triglyceride medication unless he first takes him off amaryl and onto insulin shots. My dad doesn't want to take insulin shots because he is a truck driver, and he would lose his CDL license if he is on shots. So, my question is, do any of you happen to take amaryl and something for triglycerides like vytorin? His doctor said you can't take both together. I just hate to see him lose his job if he doesn't have to. Any thoughts?
