Re: diabetes med that does not cause loose bowels???
Actos & Avandia are TZDs and used widely to treat Type 2 diabetes. They both take 12 weeks to reach their full effectiveness. They are many time used as a second line therapy. Meaning glucophage (metformin) 1st then a TZD. Metformin is known for gastric side effects. Other types of drugs that block the absorbtion of carbs also are known for the same. Any drug you ingest could cause a gastric side effect. Did your doc say stop taking it? If not, stick w/ the Actos. Your blood sugars will come down. In the meantime just try to stay away from refined carbs.

Hi,
Fiber Fiber Fiber, you have to get more fiber. Try getting some fiber wafers from the drug store. When I was having trouble with this, I was taking 8 wafers a day.
