Hello Mark, Diabetes is so complex and affects so many different parts of the body, that I would not be surprised. If you go to the response I posted to you under neuropathy, you would see that it mentions this also. With respect to B6, I take 200mg daily and have done so for ten years. This is 100 times the recommended dose. I found it prevented my cold feet that I used to get continually (likely from bad circulation). I started with 300mg, but dropped to 200 after one month.
I am so sorry to hear about your Hashimoto,s. I know very little about it other than it is an autoimmune disease and despite synthroid replacement, it still leads one to depression. And believe me, depression is terrible enough. I'm sure that the endocrynologist has checked your anterior pituitary to accertain that the problem is not there. If not, have him do so since it is the regulator of the thyroid's output.
