Hello. My mom is 66 and is about 50 lbs. overweight. She is on medication for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, HRT, and adult onset diabetes. She has no motivation at all. She has no energy or strength. She is so weak she can hardly walk around the block. She shuffles when she walks. Her daily blood sugar averages around 160. She is on every diabetes med. at the max. dose. She doesn't want to go on insulin because she has been told it will cause weight gain. Weight is the main culprit in this whole thing. There is no diabetes in our family. The last two weeks she has really gone down hill. She has even less energy than before. She is now almost totally sedintary. I go to her house every day and make her walk around the block. She walks at a snails pace and can't lift her feet. All she wants to do is go home and sit down. She now has no appetite and feels nauseous and dizzy. She says she feels car sick. I am sorry for going on and on, but I was hoping someone might have some advice.

Her docs blame everything I just told you on the diabetes. Oh, by the way she is taking Wellbutrin, an antidepressant. She has been taking it for about two weeks with no change. Thanks in advance, Janet
