I had my wisdom teeth out about 30 years ago, after I'd been diabetic for maybe 7-8 years. Had no problem whatsoever, but I do know what you mean about paper cuts etc. I also had open-heart surgery a few years ago, a triple cardiac by-pass, with a vein harvested from my leg, so I was cut open from neck to navel and knee to ankle. I healed without any problem whatsoever, in very short order, and my opinion is that the speed and smoothness of healing depends largely on the stability of your blood glucose levels and very little else. If you go up and down a lot, or are high much of the time, healing will be slower and you will be more prone to infections.
