Question Dry mouth & frequent urination

At the beginning of this month, I noticed I started urinating more frequently. Then until now, I'm pretty much going every hour on the hour. My urine is very pale to clear, and I urinate a good amount each time. I do drink a lot of liquids, usually 2 or 3 cups right after I urinate, plus what ever else I drink during the hour. I often rotate soda with water, I know soda does play a small part in the frequency. Though, I used to drink mainly sodas, but I never urinated like this before.

This last week, I've developed a very dry mouth going to sleep and waking up.

I did some research and this sounds like diabetes, but dry mouth (forgot the medical term) can play a part, also kidney/bladder problems could too.

Anyone care to comment?

If you're worried, you should go to the doctor and get tested.

Having just found out in June that I'm Type II, I'll share with you some of the things that were going on with me, of course I didn't attribute any of them to diabetes, found out when I went for my annual physical. I had an extremely dry mouth, very "cottony" and drank lots of water. This led to many trips to the bathroom. At the same time I began to have vision issues, distorted and hard to read etc. I also became very fatigued and would be sleeping early in the evening, or at least nodding off by 4:30 or 5:00 in the afternoon. I've since learned that all of those things are symptoms of the disease. Now, just 5 months later things are going well. I'd see a doc just to make sure that you do or don't have diabetes...the key is to find out early and make the necessary changes for your health.

Thanks, I haven't been to the doc in over 8 years, but I have a strong feeling I have type II. I guess i'm trying to avoid the fact, since I've been healthy all my life.

Thanks, i'll keep everyone posted.
