Post High Blood sugar and Advair?

Hi again,
I have read that corticsteroids like Advair can raise or change your blood sugar readings.
Just wondering cuz I started on Advair on Tuesday and I did the glucose tolerence tests today and wonder if that will change the results any.
Has anyone ever heard about this?
Emily

Yes, cortisone medications can/will elevate the sugar level. I am not sure how long it takes to notice the elevation, but, it may be short enough time to make a difference in your test. Be sure and call it to the doctor's attention that you are taking the cortisone type medication.
