low glucose and low insulin???? - Diabetes Message Board

My 20 year son is in the military. just over a year ago he started passing out. After several months the conclusion was low blood sugar alnog with a low level of salt in his blood. This past week he had a problem, let's just say a symptom of low blood sugar. They ran some tests and his glucose was 65. But what does not make sense is that his insulin count was 3. Everything I have seen suggests it should be high with his glucose low.
I have not been able to find anything on the net about both ones glucose and insulin being. Does anyone know where I might find information on this.
Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide.

You might try some sites on Hypoglycemia. This may have this kind of reading. Maybe this site will be a little informative. It is hard to find your exact discription. Thanks Don,

Took a look at the site, but even it seems to connect the low glucose with high insulin levels.
I have fired off an inquire to Cleveland Clinic that I am waiting to see if I get a reply to. Before the weekend is over I will do the same with some other hospitals.
