Diabetics have to be really careful with any cut, or infection of the feet. Due to reduced circulation caused by the diabetes, the risk of serious infection is very high. Many diabetics end up with amputations. The gereral recommendation is to not soak your feet in hot water as it dries the skin out and can cause cracking. The cracking can lead to infection. Recommended practice is to only quickly wash and dry feet thoroughly. Bayer makes a cream containing urea for diabetics. See this link for more information.
