The only "carb blockers" that I know about are prescription drugs; Precose and Glycet. They slow the digestion of carbs and make it easier for Type 2 diabetics to handle the spike in BG after a meal containing carbs. They work, but unfortunately many people can't continue taking them due to GI upset. And, they don't stop the digestion of any calories, just delays the absorption of them.
