are there any numbing creams that u guys use to not feel injections? if so which ones...

I have heard of people using Emla cream to put pump sets in, but it requires a prescription. Do you need the numbing cream for injections because they hurt you, or just because you feel more comfortable using it? Injections shouldn't hurt. If they do, you may need to use a small needle or have an educator show you how to do it in different ways and find a way that may be more comfortable for you. Some people find an ice cube before insertion to be helpful.

they dont necessarily hurt, but sometimes if i put 2 in one day around the same area it will hurt a little bit, and other times it stings a little bit, it really varies, sometimes they dont hurt at all and sometimes, like maybe when i go in a hair follicle it stings...

i want the cream for injections

Hi,

Emla cream is amazing! I don't use it for injections or putting my pump in, but I have a morphine pump that's implanted in my abdomen. When my doc fills it (via an injection), it hurts. I put it on one and a half to two hours before and I don't feel a thing. You need to put it on at least 45 minutes before and you don't rub it in. I put plastic wrap over it. It was originally developed for pediatric cases for IVs and blood draws. Good luck.
