Medication

I need suggestions so I remember to take my medications. Up to about 6 months ago I really good but things in my life have caused me to forget and there are days or weeks that go by that I forget. My AC1 tests are still in a good range but I am creeping up and I want to stop this turn of events. I've asked my family to ask me if I have taken my medication and they look at me like it is my responsibility, which it is but it would be nice if someone would care enough to ask to get me back on my feet. I have tried a diary but I still tend to miss most of the time. I am will to try anything. I just started over today & I am leaving the pills on my desk by the computer hoping I won't ignore them again.

Re: Medication

Maybe you could make some kind of check off list for each day of the week or month at a time. Leave that and a pen with your meds and when you take them, check them off. That way, if you can't remember if you took them or not, you can check to see if you checked it off. But you've gotta make sure you make yourself check them off as you take them.

Re: Medication

I have the same trouble because I have to take mine 30 minutes before eating. Problem is I don't always know 30 minutes before that I'm going to eat. I'm hoping I can switch meds soon to something that isn't tied to eating times.

Anyway, have you tried putting a note on your bathroom mirror or front door to remind you? If you have to take it at a certain time maybe you could set an alarm.

Re: Medication

Learn to Help your Self. Dont ever ask or expect others to take care of you When You yourself are NOT BOTHERED to TAKE CARE of your own Health. Cant you take your Medication in Time ? Do you have to be Reminded How Important is your Medication or Your Own Health & Well being ? Are You a Kid or Always looked for Spoon Feeding ? Dont think ever that every one in the World will behave like your Mom did with you. Better be Responsible & "Takecare" - Your Life & Health is very Precious & Important. Just take a little more Care.
