Question Should he be concerned? 138 mg/dL

My bf wanted to test his suger level. His father has diabetes two ...but when his doctor sees his results after fasting he is fine

well he took it yesterday .. I showed him how ...
and he had a blood suger of 138 mg/dL

should he be concerned .. he was eating these really sugery snacks of late...

should he take this to heart and do something about it ..
like change his diet mannerisms?

always
natalie jo

he also is 155 pounds and has perfect bloodwork ...but could the way he eats now affect the way he eats later, and whether he had diabeties later in life?

Re: Should he be concerned? 138 mg/dL

If his fasting blood work is fine, I wouldn't be too concerned about a non-fasting 138 on a home meter.

Yes, I agree with Blondy, especially if that 138 was non-fasting. Even a non-diabetic will have an elevated blood sugar level after eating.
