| Niaspan and blood sugar
My fasting blood sugar has increased to around 130. My suspision is that is due to increased Niaspan dosages, first 1000 mg and now 1500 mg. My HDL has increased from 29 to 45 or so.
My question is, should I be concerned about the high sugar number? I have a feeling if I stopped taking Niaspan, my blood sugar will come back into the normal range. Should I stop taking Niaspan? Which is more important, keeping HDL in the range or blood sugar in the range?
