I had a family reunion today. I ate all the county fixins, mashed potatoes and green beans and dumplings. I ate it in moderation I didn't overeat or eat too little. About 2 hours later I get the shakes and I check my bloodsugar level (my hubby has one of those glucose thingies) and it was 63 I ate something else...snacked but I wasn't hungry. Okay now I haven't noticed doing this like I have today like three times today....I checked it again another 1-2 hours later and it was 69. What is goin on with me? I am going to call my Dr first thing Monday but I was just needing some advise.
It sounds like you may have reactive hypoglycemia. Where you eat a large amount of carbs and your pancreas puts out a huge load of insulin, but it puts out so much trying to cover what you ate, that it makes you go hypoglycemic. You should limit your carbs in the meantime and make sure you are balancing them well with protein.
