Red face I just don't understand!

Why is my blood sugar low/normal if I am insulin resistant? Can some please help me with this?

Re: I just don't understand!

Being insulin resistant just means your body needs to produce more insulin to make your numbers stay in range. What can happen in the earlier stages of T2 is that your body tends to OVER compensate for food and release too much insulin so your numbers go low. For example, lets say you eat and your number hits 180, your body releases enough insulin to cover a number of like 250 instead, so you end up dropping low instead of staying in range. Does that make sense?

Thank you. That does make sense and I'm beginning to understand a little more.
