can someone help my failing memory! my friend has diabetes type 2, and takes medication with a controlled diet. every year he sees the practice nurse for a review, and therefore has to fast overnight for 12 hours before the fasting blood test. neither of us can ever remember if he can drink the night before, and only refrain on the morning of the test. i know he cannot eat now until after the test tomorrow at 8.30, but can he drink water or tea, and when does he need to stop. the poor bloke is gasping
