That's 180 per day. That means 720 calories, about 50% of a 1500 calorie per per day diet. This seems high if you are on a 1500 claorie diet. If are on a 2000 calorie a day diet, it's 36%, which makes more sense for a diabetic.
Unfortunately there is no magic number. I think it's finding the balance between keeping your glucose numbers good and eating the carbs needed to have the right amount of vitamins and nutrients.
If you pick the 'right' carbs, you can have more of them. If you can't eat enough carbs to maintain a healthy diet, it's probably worth re-assessing medication and excercise to allow you to take more.
Fats are an important part of a diet and diabetics usually take on a bit more fat and a bit more protein in order to decrease their carbs. But the choice of fats is very important. And if you are looking to lose weight, fats are the biggest source of calories. Trans and saturated fats are bad. Mono and Poly unsaturated fats are better. Nuts, olive oil, sea food : good. Fast food : bad
