KML1975 Newbie (female) Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: WV Posts: 2	Metformin? Hello, I am new to this message board and also new to diabetes. I also have PCOS. I am taking Metformin for the diabetes and the PCOS. I had surgery back in Dec for cysts on my ovaries, one of them ruptured and they removed 2 more. Ever since I had the surgery and started taking Metformin I have had 2 periods a month. Is this a normal thing with Metformin? I had very irregular periods before the metformin and now I go to 2 a month ....such a crazy switch!
