Desperately need a doctor who treats diabetes in North Aurora, Coloado

Hello All,

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with diabetes and fatty liver disease. I am in my mid 50's and desperately need to find a very good, kind doctor in the north part of Aurora, Colorado. I leave about 6 miles east of downtown Denver, Colorado.

If anyone can help me with this request, I would be forever grateful.

Needless to say, I am very scared.

Thank you,
LB32

First off, don't forget that you can live a wonderful, healthy, happy life with diabetes. Also, the liver regenerates, so if it is not too advanced, you can recover completely from the fatty liver.

As for a referral, I don't live in the area. Talk to the doctor that diagnosed you and get some suggestions. Don't forget to be specific as to what you want. Some docs are technically excellent, but don't have the greatest "bedside manner". Others are good too, maybe not as technically savvy, but are more loved by their patients. Talk to your doc about exactly what you want and need and get a referral that way. I believe many states have associations where you can contact them to find out about complaints about the doc - so you can educate yourself that way too.

Best of luck.

Re: Desperately need a doctor who treats diabetes in North Aurora, Coloado

Thanks so much Cora for your kind words and encouragement.

I forgot to mention in my request that I was diagnosed from a doctor in the Willoughy Hills Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

However, I live in Aurora, Colorado. So that is why I am seeking a referral for a good diabetes doctor close to where I live.

Thanks again for contacting me. I really appreciated it.
