Glucose 110

Last week I had an appointment with my MD and did not expect any blood tests of any kind. Anyway the MD asked for blood test that showed my glucose level to be at 110 in a range of 65-100. Just prior to my OV I had a coffee and donut whereas I normally fast for a blood test. Previous glucose tests were around 90 in the same range but I was fasting. Does eating before a glucose test skew the results and how? Thanks.

Re: Glucose 110

Yes, eating before a glucose test will definitely raise your blood sugar. How long before the test did you eat the donut. Basically, with a donut in your system, the 110 is a very good number.
